Your Community Health has three sites in Darebin, providing a wide range of health care and community support services. Part of their mission in protecting the health of their community is to do what they can to reduce the impacts of climate change, including taking responsibility for their own footprint.
They have created an Environmental Sustainability Working
Group and an Action Plan, which has led them to taking many actions including:

Behaviour change programs to reduce waste and
energy

Installing solar power on all sites

Shifting their vehicle fleet to electric,
including a bus
–
Replacing gas hot water with heat pumps
–
Installing LED lighting
–
Installing sensors to lighting and taps to
reduce waste
–
Delivering climate engagement, education and
advocacy programs
They are only just over halfway through their action plan
and have already achieved an incredible 88% Greening our Business score.
