In 2022 the business moved from a warehouse in North Fitzroy to a much larger space in Alphington. This had the potential to significantly increase running costs, but Encore took advantage of rebates (including the Darebin Energy$mart program) to replace the lighting with LEDs, install 30kW of solar on the roof and upgrade the office heating and cooling to efficient split systems. The business is now consistently in credit on their energy bills, even through the winter months.
