Charles Sandford Woodturning & McKay Joinery

Local sustainable business champion Charles Sandford of Charles Sandford & McKay Joinery has reduced his CO2 emissions with his two solar installs, totalling 94 kW.

He has also significantly reduced his energy loads by upgrading to LED lighting, installing variable speed drive units to machinery like dust extractors and adding automatic dampers to ducting. They also send waste timber shavings to be used for pipe laying and landscaping use and source hessian sacks from another local company to use as packaging for their products, rather than purchasing bubble wrap.
